New Bike before New Year

I just arrived home an hour ago, hubby was on the front house with his friend who just came in before me.  I was surprised to see him with a new big bike, it’s beautiful. I used of seeing him riding his cute scooter everytime he visit at home. But now, a new bike from Yamaha and the accessories were new as well, the riding helmets, the suit and the shoes. The friends seems to be well improved these days, hubby and I knew how he dream to have a big bike, now he’s got one before the year end. We are happy for him that he’s got the bike he really likes to buy one day, and now he’s just having fun cruising around and enjoying the ride.

Summer fun

Each day summer is getting hotter and hotter, which is not too bad as long as it will not reach above 40 degrees, the heat would bearable if like that.  Since summer was started the wardrobes at home was now occupied by summer clothing and the thick clothing like Carhartt coats of my hubby, my jackets, jumpers and our track pants, boots was all hidden aside and will pull out till the end of summer.

A beautiful season for a school holiday as well, a quality time for every family to spend with their kids this summer. Now you can see the beach and recreation park were packed of tourist and people enjoying the summer day. Everyone were busy with the outdoor activities and having fun, I wish I have a long holiday, but well continue working and wait till I save my annual leave to have a better holiday of my own, maybe another trip to the Philippines with my hubby next year? I wish so…

Rush Hour

It was very busy in the fish shop today. Everyday and 3 days left to celebrate Christmas day, the shop was getting busier and busier.  There are many customers are coming and what a chaos in the car park. I can notice some came during their breaktime and after finish work. How do I recognize it? Because they're still wearing their work uniforms, I even recognize which company they work for according to their uniform, some from Hospitals just by looking at the quality and material of the uniforms that maybe if I'm not mistaken it was made from Marcus medical uniforms.

Anyway the day went quicker as it very busy and we don't know the time flies so fast that it's near to closing time already. I had a tiring but lovely day especially working with the retail staff and enjoying the massive amount of customer buying seafoods and excited to have a feast for Christmas.

Let's be merry and enjoy the spirit of Christmas. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Christmas Lunch

Last Saturday we had a Christmas lunch gathering with my two great friends. It's maybe our last catch up meeting with Donna till the end of the year as she is going to spend their New Year at Sydney. Also maybe my other friend won't see her for a long time because after New year she's going back to the Philippines.

We ate on a Japanese restaurant in the outdoor side of Marina at Glenelg.  It was like a rainy day and the bay is not so busy compare to a very nice weather.  We are lucky then to accommodate the place of our own and not much crowd around us so we are free to talk or laugh as loud as we can.  We had a wonderful bonding again as we use to do, Donna gave us Christmas present and what a thoughtful act of her that she gave me the perfume I'm planning to buy.  I was very happy and feel so special with her kindness. It's like our tradition that we exchange gift with each other but mine is late, I haven't done my Christmas shopping yet.  I usually gave to her before Christmas day so it's not too late yet.  I still have a week to shop for a present for my friends and loveones.

Anyway we had really enjoy the day even the weather was so dramatic.  A glass or two of moscato drink will give us the cheerfulness to talk and share a few things while having conversation.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and all the best on the 2012

An hour ago I had a short chat with my friend on facebook, she has a twin kids a girl and a boy I think they’re 7 or 8 years old now. I then remember a year ago when we are together in the city looking for a guitar shop. She was going to check how big is the size of guitar that was suggested by the son’s guitar teacher.  She ended buying the little one that suit for a 6 year old boy. My friend was so excited that time to surprise his son a guitar present on his birthday as she knows how many times her son keeps on telling her to have a guitar of his own to play with.  He is a good boy, I think he was so happy that day when his mum grant his wishes to have a guitar.

Maybe now he can play it well especially having a guitar teacher of his own to train him. Now he must be developing his guitar talent and hopefully he will be a great guitarist when he grows up.

I'm happy for my friend, having a wonderful twin who are so adorable, talented and very smart kids.

Yesterday, I’ve got a few junk mails catalogues in the mailbox.  Sometimes they can be my stress reliever by browsing each catalogues of the selected shops.  Sometimes they can be annoying as I tend to like something but I don’t have much money to buy the things I

Especially this week specials are featured mostly for Christmas gifts in catalogues and they’re very tempting. There are stunning jewelleries, perfumes, clothing, digital cameras and other gadgets on sale. But I will resist the urge, I’m contented and happy by just looking and admiring them, my eyes were satisfied and filled with joy flicking each pages to amuse myself.

Filipino party

Last Sunday we went to a Filipino Party, it's a pre-christmas fundraising of the Filipino community to help them continue the service and help the elderly people through charity works of the volunteers by doing house visit. It's our first time to attend a Filipino community event here, it's fun I feel at home surrounded by them and speaking with our mother language. There are some programs after lunch prepared by the volunteers, there is caroling, piano and violin rendition and the traditional dance of the Filipino.

I had enjoyed watching them as well my hubby because it's his first time to see the traditional dance and costume.

Teddy Bear

Last week I was on my way driving home from work when the traffic was moving very slow because it's peak hour, while sitting with the foot on brake, I still manage to grab my mobile and  just quickly take a shot of the teddy bear tied up on a pole. It was in front of picture frame shop and art supplies along South road. I don't know why and what is the significance it was tied up there. He must be so exhausted with his position and how he was tied on the neck. The belt around him is a cloth printed with world flags of some countries.

Early Starts

This photo was taken last Friday when I'm starting my work at 6:00 am. I've arrived at the car park around 5:50am, I was amazed and so excited for the first ever for the past 4 years I've seen the sunrise here in Adelaide. I'm not an early person except when working which I was forced to get up (lol) aside from that I don't really wake up early and look for the sunrise or go outside the house. I think that's the joy to sleep-in a little bit while I don't have baby yet.

These were the series of photos from where I've took from the start I arrived at the car park until I get inside the shop to prepare myself to start at work.

The Camping Caravan

My friend's family just recently bought a second hand camping caravan for their own use, especially because they love going out of town as her husband was always assigned there. Usually they've always going to country side for a weekend and he brought all his family for a weekend bonding after he finish work so they often stay on hotel or apartments. Imagine how expensive is that for having 6 members in the family, I know they can afford it but my friend said it's a good idea and practical they've finally decided to get a caravan. It really helps lesser the expenses  so anytime now if they feel like to pull over somewhere along the road to rest due for a long drive the caravan is convenient for them.

The problem is they need a proper vehicle to tow the caravan, they use toyota tarago for towing before but they were advice not to use often because it's not a caravan recommended vehicle for towing. So what happen is, when they had re-painted the caravan  the painting company offers to sell the second hand 4 wheel drive to them. It's a good timing, the only thing they need to do when they've got the Jackaroo was to transfer, change or get the rv insurance of the vehicle to their name, but all is fine now.

Now they're enjoying the fun and convenient service of the caravan by going anywhere or relaxing somewhere with the whole family.

Jobs for You

Even though I'm currently employed sometimes there is a time when MIL dropped off the daily newspaper at home.  I only read them sometimes but If I feel like I usually browse the section of International news and Careers. I can still notice that there are so many jobs offer advertise and wonder why there are still many unemployed, they maybe lazy to search only. There is ads for Reception, Administration, Retail, Nursing, Accounting, Tradesmen and a lot more to search.

I also had read around US and also here, now the most in demand is Network Administrator Jobs. That's the part of job I want to know and learn, having knowledge about networking, engineering and technical support. I should better study about this course hehe.  I really admire those people who had the skills, expertise and ability to fix and create programs on computer. They're genius.

Those who are qualify for this kind of job, this is for you.

Dog Walkers

Each time we went on Brighton I often saw people have their dogs with them walking on the seashore or some just on footpath.

Shopping Trolley

This photo was taken from second level car park of a shopping center.   It’s only unusual seeing the casters wheel of the shopping trolley. I often saw and you might as well it’s just plain black or gray but these wheels are red. I was just thinking they upgrade to a new one and change to a very safety casters wheel that won't cause accident to the customer. It looks attractive and the red color really had matched on the handle. It's a nice choice.

Wood, Iron and Stone

I took this photo during garden and outdoor expo at Adelaide showground a year ago.  We are just curious what's going on with the exhibit so we make our entry to browse around.  We've seen some yard art decoration and artwork made from wooden, iron rust and some stone made yard art sculptures.

(please click the image to enlarge)
There are a few wooden ducks standing beside each other

I like this kind of art they've made and formed as a dog using iron rust. Looks very hard, but  it looks like a perfect dog image.

There are few selections of garden decoration made from stone sculpture, some looks cool and the giant statue and I think the dwarf looks scary for me. hehe

Whale's Tail

This is an old photo during our wedding anniversary holiday last 2009 at Victor Harbor, Adelaide. It's  2 years ago already but was forgotten to post yet since then. It's a whale's tail fountain weighed 900kg and it was made from silica bronze was built outside the SA Whale Center which is located in the middle of the park of Victor Harbor leisure and holidays attractions.

What's funny in the series of photos was when my hubby is going to take photo of me as a remembrance but I'm hardly able to position myself because the wind is blowing so strong as you can see on the trees and the water overflows towards the ground and because of my tiny weight hehe I almost blown by the wind. What hubby does is just took multiple shots until I was able to sit properly on the whale's tail fountain. I need to gain more weight to protect from any possible disasters like strong winds or whatever lol.
